We started as a technology company originally founded by Jeff Stewart and backed by iNovia Capital, whom you might know as the investors behind companies like Collective, Vizu, Chango, and Tynt. Our goal was to revolutionize the hiring process by using linguistic technology and algorithms to help companies hire the best sales talent. While the technology was a little too advanced for it’s time, we did build an incredible recruiting company in the process.

Not only do we understand online media advertising startups and the type of person needed to do the job, but we are also the only recruiting company specializing in purely sales and business development. We come from sales backgrounds, and it’s part of the reason we’ve been so successful at identifying top talent and helping the industry’s leading startups scale their teams.

Urgent Career partners directly with VC’s and their portfolio companies. Our clients also typically come to us via word of mouth based upon the depth of our relationships with angel investors, venture capitalists, founders, and CEO’s.  We are a part of the space, as our team consists of angel investors and entrepreneurs who understand the ecosystem and also have skin in the game in some of the leading online, mobile, video, content, and social advertising companies. Urgent Career is based in New York City.
